Let’s cut right to the chase. We all need money. We all need growth to keep progressing with our niche-based passions. We can all benefit from organic Instagram traffic and page growth.

In a conversation with young entrepreneur Daniel Bron, we uncovered 5 tips toward growing one’s Instagram without spamming/violating Instagram’s Terms of Service.

1. Post Regularly

This tip is simple. If you are an active Instagram user, why not actively post? If you’re like Daniel or me, you probably don’t like actually posting pictures on the main landing page for one’s profile. In this case, we recommend you utilize Instagram’s story option to post regular temporary announcements, milestones, and highlights.

2. Create a Highlight Orb

This is a moderately simple operation as well. To a prospective follower, they might want to see, beyond your public posts, a custom-tailored reel of your “best Instagram stories”. Late 2018, Instagram added an option to save and group your favourite archived stories in a highlight reel.

3. Create Incentives For Followers

Hosting giveaways, contests, challenges, and encouraging users to comment your custom hashtag are all effective methods to incentivize followers to literally follow your lead. A key to being a successful entrepreneur is to constantly mystify and generate traffic based on self-generated hype.

4. Consider Shoutout for Shoutout

When your engagement dips for whatever reason, consider contacting like-branded niches for a shoutout-for-shoutout deal. Typically found on the stories of entrepreneurs, you will notice how they shoutout relevant, niche pages correlated to their mission. If you get lucky, you won’t pay a dollar shoutout-for-shoutout, and as a result, both pages involved with experience mutual follower growth and a closer relationship. A positive idea promoting community sets up a positive output.

5. Get Verified

While this option has 0 guarantees & is an unrealistic goal for many, if you feel you have a valid clause for verification, Instagram has added a feature to “Request Verification”. Simply go to settings and navigate yourself to the “Request Verification” option. Instagram, historically, is known to verify clothing brands, independent journalists, public figures, celebrities, athletes, artists, and content creators. While this a broad scope of potentiality, you must have legitimate “clout” to back up your case for achieving the sacred blue check. It is certainly worth a shot, but I personally recommend to boost your social proofs on other networks like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and your personal domain to give yourself a better probability to earn verification.
